Michelle Leidich

Michelle Leidich is a representational artist who prefers working from life. She enjoys painting still lifes, landscapes, portraits, and creating scenes that have a more imaginative, realistic, and narrative aspect to them. She also likes creating paintings that express her Christian faith.

The goal of her work is to bring out the natural physical beauty of texture, form, color, and light — while emphasizing its value, relationship, and purpose in society.

Her method of working includes drawing, watercolor, and oil painting, and sometimes sculpture. She has a BFA in Drawing and Painting from the University of Toledo and extensive classwork at the Grand Central Atelier in NYC. She is currently based in Columbus, Ohio.
